Acushnet Company, home to the leading brands in golf (Titleist and FootJoy Golf) has an exciting opportunity for an Embroidery Digitizer/Graphics Technician.
In this position, the incumbent will:
• Create, Design, and Edit digitized embroidery files from customer artwork.
• Work with digitizing contractors to create embroidery files as needed.
• Create and Design special make up units as requested by customers.
• The incumbent will work with offshore subcontractors to create digitized embroidery files as needed.
• Ensure accurate & timely conversion of graphic files to embroidery digitized format.
• The incumbent will color up artwork for each order and generate any needed proofs requested by the customer.
• Edit digitized embroidery files from customers and offshore subcontractors, to ensure quality standards are met.
• Will work closely with Custom Customer Service and QA in the pre-production approval process.
• Will maintain archives for all approved stitch outs and for all embroidery files created and edited.
• Responsible for assisting with the design of Special Makeup Units and assisting embroidery production in other projects as needed
Qualifications that Acushnet Company looks for in this position are:
• BS or AS in Graphic Design or Graphic Arts required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in digitizing, graphic design and/or textile design.
• Knowledge of textiles, threads, and embroidery machines required.
• Knowledge of EmbTrak software, Wilcom software and Barudan embroidery machines preferred.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
