Billabong is currently searching for a talented and motivated T-shirt and Apparel Art Director who is a Graphic Designer / Illustrator to join our men’s M&D art department.
This position requires a creative individual with management experience as well as strong graphic design and hand illustration skills. Candidates must be able to create seasonal art directions, motivate, and get the best out of art team within the allotted time frame. Candidates also should be able to effectively manage multiple projects and have experience with product matrixes, sample and production procedures.
Responsibilities will include directing, designing and creating art primarily for men’s T shirts but also sportswear categories such as fleece, knits, wovens, boardshorts, and accessories. Must be able to consistently produce concepts and artwork to satisfy design objectives and effectively manage multiple projects.

Additional qualifications include:
- Minimum 5 years Graphic Design and management experience.
- Drawing, painting and sketching skills are encouraged.
- Complete knowledge of screen print process and techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign in a Macintosh environment.
- Needs to work well with other designers, have excellent follow through skills, stay on calendar, and self-initiative.
- Must be ready and willing to take on any number of small or large projects as need arises and be prepared for a fast paced environment.
- Previous design experience in the Action Sports industry a plus.
