The role of production coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager major responsibilities include overall production process with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery and quality shipments. This also includes PO confirmation and follow up with customer, sample tracking and all production related activities.
Responsibilities
•Follow up order enquiry from customer.
•Overseeing order placement, processing and follow-up of all orders in the responsible areas.
•Maintain records and documentation of all related purchasing activities including vender files and the entire PO files. This includes maintaining system accuracy.
•Following through the complete production process including artwork, fabrics, component and samples approval. Process samples of all caps to ensure specifications are met and quality is in line with requirements.
•Work closely with the overseas factories based on the Time and Action calendar to ensure that all the goods meet delivery and quality standards.
•Maintain and monitor accurate information in Work-In-Process (WIP) report. Communicate with related parties for approval if necessary.
•Work closely with logistic department coordinate the overseas factories and our designated freight forwarders to coordinate on time shipment booking.
•Coordinate shipping documents with logistics department for all shipments.
•Constantly monitor the current vendor matrix regarding performance standards such as quality, on time delivery, product compliance, and pricing and overall service consistency.
Through a minimum of three to five years’ experience, you must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:
•Knowledge of overall production management process, understand how to use the Time and Action (T/A) calendars and Work-In-Process (WIP) report to execute the orders.
•Able to handle all aspects of overseas production and track deliveries schedule on daily basis.
•Must have strong follow-up abilities and work under pressure.
•Requires a general understanding of offshore export regulations, knowledgeable of international trade terms, understand the import operations and U.S. Customs rules.
•Detail/hands on oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
.Understand goals and objectives established by the company and work towards satisfying them.
.Cantonese/Mandarin speaking is a plus
Personal and Leadership Qualifications
Through experience, you must be able to demonstrate achievement over time in the following areas:
•Enthusiastic positive “can do” person who embraces change with a sense of urgency and persistence.
•Challenges self to learn better ways of doing things - attend courses and seminars to broaden knowledge.
Education
Minimum 3~5 years experience in production management, soft-line (apparel or fashion accessories experience are preferred). BS Degree perferred.
