Fox Racing has a Product Developer position open for our fast-growing Junior’s team located in Newport Beach, CA. Two to three years of experience desired. Gerber WebPDM knowledge a plus. Thorough knowledge of the product development cycle is required. If you are super organized, like to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment and have a good understanding of product development, then this job is for you!
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Partner with design team to manage the fabrication, styling and trim requirements for assigned junior’s styles
· Manage receipt of all protos and submittals in accordance with internally established timelines
· Maintain vendor relations and manage all communication with vendors as pertains to assigned junior’s styles
· Partner with technical design team to ensure adherence to all specs
· Lead discussion during fit sessions for assigned junior’s styles so that all points of measure and any concerns are covered with design and technical design teams. Communicate results of fit sessions to vendors.
· Negotiate costing with vendors to meet set margin standards
· Create and edit tech pack using Gerber WebPDM system
· Maintain development files and documentation for assigned styles.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Textile Design/Development or related industry experience
· 2 - 3 years of apparel development experience
· Strong knowledge of construction and technologies relevant to Junior’s sportswear.
· Strong understanding of design, development and merchandising process from inception through production.
· Understanding of sourcing and cost negotiation skills
· Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions, high aesthetic taste level
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Proactive, problem solving and results oriented.
· Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Illustrator.
· Ability to travel, domestically and internationally when required
· Gerber WebPDM knowledge a plus
