Job Description:
TILLY'S has an immediate open position for a Allocation Analyst in our headquarters located in Irvine, California.
Basic Functions:
Allocation and Analysis
• Responsible for the timely and accurate allocation, pre-allocation and analysis of designated classifications of merchandise assigned to them, for existing and all future new store locations.
• Develop a working understanding of the JDA/Arthur Allocation tool
1. Identify issues and challenges with the system and work towards being a part of the solution to such issues and challenges
2. Recognize the need for store groups and manipulating data collect levels, min’s and max’s, location tables and methods (variables)
3. Allocate to a balanced inventory level vs. sales and minimize transfers, taking into account sq. ftg.
• Regular bi-weekly (or as needed) fill-in from reserve warehouse to stores
1. Identify and execute the automatic replenishment of stores from reserve
• Understand PKMS process and solve issues that arise due to system or warehousing challenges
• Running automatic distributions (waves), understanding from beginning to end, the importance of the process
• Analysis includes but it is not limited to:
1. Builds, slows and shutoff of stores due to class performance
2. Classification rankings (YTD, MTD and any period applicable to improving business)
3. Vendor performance analysis as needed
4. Best sellers and worst sellers
• Making recommendations to the buying staff for re-orders and cancellations
• Making recommendations to the buying staff for size scale adjustments
5. Unit flow planning sheets or any other unit driven planning analysis
6. Size scale analysis by store
7. Model stock by store and ensuring proper inventory levels per store to maximize sales (planograms included)
8. Weekly balancing of any store and any classification as needed – monitor non local stores
9. Seasonal balancing to maximize sales at crucial points during the sales trend
10. Excel spreadsheet analysis of holidays, special events, or any analysis needed
• Must meet with buyer consistently to discuss goals, issues and allocation concerns
• Must review all future on order to anticipate the needs of the stores based on business trends
• Must review all packing slips in assigned classes to ensure the timely processing of merchandise
• Walking the processing and backstock lines of the warehouse to always be aware of product and flow
• Must work as a team with warehouse staff to ensure proper allocation of merchandise
• Review store on order (in transit) to ensure timely processing of goods
• Pulling together featured product to maximize sales potential at store level
• Developing, with Planners, the unit plans for any new store or remodel and filling them to within 95% accuracy, researching any deficiencies and suggesting alternatives
• Must work some weekends during busy periods (Back To School and Holiday, etc.)
