Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a 501c3 non-profit foundation that advocates for early detection and a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. B4BC empowers young people to make positive choices that promote lifelong wellness through outreach, prevention and support programs. 


Job Description:

The Event Coordinator + Office Admin will serve as a regular point between B4BC and it’s community of supporters, as well as a supporting role to the Events + Outreach Director. This position will show a behind the scenes look at what it takes to run a non-profit, including administrative needs. 

The Event Coordinator + Office Admin position is a part-time position with potential to transition into a full-time role. Must have an interest in breast cancer education and a passion for teaching peers about health and wellness. This position reports into the Events + Outreach Director. The ability to snowboard or ski is a strong bonus for this position.


Duties include but are not limited to:


-       Office Admin – (2-3 days/ week in-office) Includes shipping and receiving, inventory management, organizing, event prep, mail filing, check donation recording + deposits, general email + voicemail checks. Update Event + Marketing teams on incoming / outgoing packages.

-       Shopify Management / Merch Store– pack + ship incoming orders, update online inventory from physical inventory, update product images, notify team on low inventory items.

-       Event Assistance – Pack all event materials (ship to events when needed), load-in + setup for events, teach event goers about our mission, how to do a BSE, raffle + merch sales. Travel to all needed events including Love Your Peaks winter events, Summer Skate Series events and 3rd party outreach events. (Day Rate on event days) 

-       Volunteer Management – Scheduling + reach out to existing database for events, grow and manage current volunteer database.

-       Be Healthy Get Active Program Support – Be the liaison between studios / facilitators, work with program manager to  gain new studio involvement, collect assets + fundraiser information, web calendar updates, keep team up to date on execution needs, ship event packages to BHGA host.

-       In-Kind Donation Management – track and record all incoming packages with MSRP, event assigned to, notify team on received and low inventory, create and send in-kind tax forms to sender.

-       Website Sweeps – Check that web banners, event calendar and current programs/ events are up to date. Notify web team of updates that need to made.

-       Social Auctions -Pull product images, item descriptions, post to B4BCAuction, monitor comments + messages, create assets for auction updates, close auction + ship to winners. 

-       In Person Auction – Manage product, close-out winners, scan + file paper bid sheets to Dropbox. 

-       Newsletter Database Management - Input new emails, create lists by region + event. 

-       Retreat Assistance – Support Wellness Director in application process, collect and organize participant information, attend as a supporting facilitator when necessary. 

-       Fundraising – Create classy pages when needed for 3rd party fundraisers, attend when appropriate, seek new fundraising  + partnership opportunities.


This role requires working weekends, outdoor elements, the ability to lift heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time.
