Fox Head, Inc. a leader in the Motocross industry is looking for an Associate Planner to join the team at its headquarters in Irvine .
About Fox : Founded in 1974, Fox Head, Inc. has maintained its position as the innovation leader in the MX industry by designing and producing motocross protection and apparel for the world’s best riders. Building off this athlete-driven design philosophy the company has expanded its activity and products into MTB, BMX, Surf and Wakeboarding.
Summary:
The Associate Planner’s main function is to support the Planner with the analysis of the business and the execution of the Purchase Plan with the vendor.
Production Planning
• Work with Planner to create seasonal production plan at vendor and style/color level.
• Communication and confirm production plan to vendor and any adjustments made for future production plans.
• Work with Planners to monitor and modify seasonal production plan on monthly basis.
Vendor Management:
• Issue, Monitor, and Maintain Purchase Orders with the vendor
• Solicit Pro Forma Invoices from vendors.
• Create and update Work-in-Process (WIP) reports in conjunction with Production
• Communication of Ship Dates and Delays to appropriate people inside the Fox organization.
• Monitor and enforce adherence by vendors to the Fox Vendor Manual.
• Conduct monthly calls with vendors to review deliveries, WIP reports and production plan.
• Track tooling with the vendors to ensure tooling is paid off and pricing gets adjusted in SAP.
Sales and Inventory Analysis:
• Assist the Planner in the following functions:
• Update rolling forecast and inventory plans to review with sales and merchandising.
• Review style sales and inventory to determine under-stock and over-stock situations.
• Create plans to address over-stock and under-stock situations.
Forecasting:
Assist the Planner in the following functions:
• Maintain in season stock reports.
• Update and maintain weekly inventory files.
• Maintain seasonal size scales by merchandise categories.
• Assist in seasonal buy planning process by creating buy worksheets with statistical data.
• Maintain reports to track progress of aged inventory, sample inventory, and discontinued inventory.
• Cross reference PO placement to purchase plan to insure accuracy.
Requirements:
• Intermediate Excel skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Must have 2 years of related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities
