Your Job:
The Event Marketing Specialist supports and executes Brooks' Event Marketing and Sports Marketing efforts acrossthe Central Territory (DACH = Germany, Austria, Switzerland). As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will execute PR launch events with media and reviewers, Influencer Get-togethers, Trail and Sports Marketing events, (Half) Marathon sponsorships, Trade shows, disruptive installations, and guerilla activities. You will also act as the first point of contact for our athletes and manage their day-to-day needs, overseeing their race calendar and strategically including them in certain brand activations. You are often the first contact on site for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
• Work cross-functionally with internal Brooks teams including Retail, Social/ Digital, PR & Influencer, Sales/Tech, Creative etc. to coordinate and execute fully integrated events
• Track clear KPI`s based on the type of event. This can include product trial, purchase, customer data acquisition, content & UGC creation, social coverage and reach, EMV by Influencers, podiums by Athletes, coverage and overall satisfaction and brand momentum.
• Collaborate with Event Marketing Manager to forecast and track budget related to events and sports marketing activities.
• Support project plans identifying tasks, deliverables, milestones, resources, and budget to ensure successful brand activations.
• Plan and execute up to 25 events per year, communicating closely with key partners internally and stakeholders externally on design/setup/teardown, program, activations and event coverage
• Manage production and brief process for creative assets for certain events and activations, always aligned to the brand platform
• Act as a point of contact for the local Event agency, including execution of briefs, activation reports and status meetings. Partner with the event agency and your manager on new ideas to proactively seek out opportunities to reach new runners
• Act as the primary point of contact for Brooks athletes and support various requests such as travel invoices and product orders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience in marketing, events, expos agency or company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, strong English communication skills. Any other language is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility to handle unexpected projects and a demonstrated willingness to help others while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Validated initiative and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
• Creativity and innovation regarding new marketing initiatives for events.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at a time.
• Understanding of budget management.
