DAKINE has an immediate opportunity for an Mountain Bike Apparel Product Manager to join the team in Hood River, Oregon.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

// POSITION OVERVIEW
- Oversee the design, merchandising and development of mtn bike and related technical apparel
- Prepare and maintain product specifications packages
- Establish target costs and negotiate all pricing with vendors and suppliers
- Comment on and manage sales samples and prototypes
- Perform daily communications with vendors and suppliers
- Source and develop all raw materials, treatments and embellishments
- Maintain fabric and treatment sample libraries
- Monitor quality control standards for raw materials and finished products
- Assist customer service and warranty departments with technical support
- Product line presentations at Sales Meetings and Design Reviews
- Provide additional support for photo shoots, trade shows, sales meetings and focus groups as required

// REQUIREMENTS
- 3 or more years apparel design, development and/or management experience in a similar sports based industry
- Thorough knowledge of apparel design and development with technical attributes of performance product materials and production techniques also specific to active apparel
- Must be experienced in international travel and be self-sufficient in working with both domestic and overseas vendors
- Posses a strong work ethic and be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detailed oriented and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Illustrator programs
- Valid US work permit
- Some domestic and international travel is required
