Bonfire, in Portland, Oregon, is looking for a Communications Representative to join the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

• COMMUNITY MANAGER Directs social media strategy. Stays current on social networking technologies and represents both brands directly to the consumer Manage Regional Social Network program to create positive brand image and content creation in social media and through community marketing. Monitor and encourage consumer and retailers dialogue through social media including Facebook, Twitter and Blogs.

• PUBLIC RELATIONS Manage Global PR strategy including press kit creation, product preview guides, trade show PR execution, event PR timelines and press releases concerning global team riders, new products and events. Maintain relationships with global media leaders based on the priorities established with senior management. Write Press Releases, for North American marketplace.

• TRADESHOW SUPPORT Assist in trade show organization, marketing collateral, press kits, trade show set up/breakdown. Manage the work as assigned within the department and as appropriate, works with the reps, vendors, agencies, trade organizations, athletes, and event/trade show organizers.

• COPYWRITING: Edits, Writes copy for catalog, Web and other marketing materials

• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Coordinates Basecamp communications and writeboard creation for Bonfire and Salomon product line. Delivers writeboards and draft copywriting on time and coordinates with Marketing Director to identify copy for key product stories.

• COLLABORATIVE WORK: Develop close relationships with the sales and product departments and provide interface with those departments on specific sales/marketing programs and promotions. Participates in the BP process for both Bonfire and Salomon.

• EARNED MEDIA: Fulfill material, product, and other ad hoc needs for media including event producers, magazine editors, sales reps, and retailers.

• EVENT COORDINATOR: Executing Summer camp program, Pipe to Pipe, Backyard Bang and other events based on creation and presentation of Marketing Playbook Planning.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MANAGES INTERN PROGRAM: Identifies, Interviews and hires candidates for Alliance intern program. Coordinates scheduling and assist other managers in identifying projects for Intern completion. Performs post performance evaluations.

MANAGES REGIONAL SOCIAL NETWORK COORDINATORS: Identifies, interviews and hires appropriate candidates for Regional Social Network Coordinators.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university and 2 years related experience in marketing, media, event, or athlete relations. Additional experience can be used in lieu of degree.

• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Some creative and imaging skills as well as technical skills that include writing and proofing marketing materials.
• Excellent people and relationship building skills
• Good communicator and time manager. Able to prioritize work load and respect timelines
• Knowledge of snowboard industry
• Knowledge of Photo editing software, Microsoft Power point, word, excel, constant contact, Magento, Tumblr, Wordpress, web applications
