A Los Angeles based skateboard lifestyle company is looking for a full time graphic designer to join the team immediately.
Job responsibilities:
• Work closely with the merchandising team to design category-specific product based on design direction given
• Create original flat sketches based on existing trends and designs as well as tech packs and revision notes using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
• Collect trend inspiration across all categories and stay consistently in tune with competitive brands and market trends
• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and techniques, and proactively seek out new inspiration and ideas to incorporate into designs
• Maintain library of original samples, proto samples, production samples and material/trim swatches
• Track samples and project WIPS by communicating with factories and maintaining WIP calendar and adhere to deadlines
• Interact with vendors to develop products and collections
• Maintain and organize all sample racks and label samples accordingly
• Maintain a high level of quality control throughout product development process
• Review and approve product samples
• Set up swatch and print packages
• Follow-up with suppliers and assist with administrative duties
• Creating item codes and for the range of product offerings
• Develop designs for a range of mediums including print, web, and social media using Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects
• Design print materials such as packaging, hang tags, labels, look books, and catalogs that are on-brand and visually engaging
• Create digital assets including web banners, email templates, and social media graphics that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and projects are completed to a high standard
• Perform other duties as required
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and sales to ensure that design objectives are aligned with overall business goals
