Role Mission
The Public Relations (PR) Manager is responsible for editorial coverage (print and digital) of all product categories (men’s, women’s, décor, etc.) and for supporting the Public Relations team and larger Brand Engagement department to achieve the overall positioning and image goals of the brand. The manager works directly with the Gucci America and Worldwide (WW) teams to support the US and Canada markets, and provides daily support to the Director, Public Relations.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee PR sample trafficking for all categories with national and regional outlets;
Manage the Men’s Assistant, Women’s Assistant and two Freelance PR Assistants;
Support Vice President and Director with feature/news story placements and event coverage;
Execute paid features to highlight seasonal product priorities;
Create and maintain relationships with editors, stylists, and influencers;
Coordinate partnerships with local agencies for events and special projects;
Manage relationships with all local mall marketing contacts to generate seasonal placements on their platforms;
Oversee monthly DMR print and digital reports as well as recaps of coverage, product launches and events;
Liaise with WW headquarters on reporting, events, press releases and special initiatives;
Oversee the fashion show process for all shows including scheduling, show requests, seating, and photography access;
Manager seasonal sample buys for all teams;
Proactively outreach to key publications and editors to make sure Gucci is top of mind;
Update the Director/VP on relevant sample or upcoming credit issues;
Oversee the day-to-day sample trafficking done by the assistants;
Create pitches on timely news and proactively outreach to obtain press coverage based on product marketing pushes;
Liaise with merchandising and eCommerce teams to ensure alignment across men’s and women’s priorities and initiatives;
Lead store opening communications strategies including national store photography;
Manage the departmental budget;
Draft media alerts and press releases for local activations as well as interview responses for executives.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years working fashion public relations;
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word; Excel; Powerpoint: Outlook; DMR; FashionGPS;
Strong interpersonal and relationship--building skills;
Strong writing and verbal skills;
Appreciation and understanding of the luxury fashion industry.

Salary Range – New York City
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000 USD to $100,000 MAX BGT USD.
