Amer Sports Winter and Outdoor (ASWO), located in Ogden, Utah is looking for a Consumer Marketing Manager – Outdoor to join the team.
Essential Duties & responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of fully integrated, consumer facing outdoor go-to-market (GTM) plans for the Salomon and Suunto brands for Amer Sports Winter and Outdoor (ASWO)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
• In close collaboration with Suunto and Salomon outdoor commercial teams, adapt global brand marketing strategies in the creation of consumer relevant GTM plans that deliver on commercial and brand goals
• Lead the development for all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure complete alignment in the creation and execution of marketing programs focusing on: sell in tools, trade shows, digital, community marketing, co-op marketing programs and in-store excellence
• Collaborate with the ASA Digital Marketing Manager to ensure all digital marketing programs are seamlessly integrated into the seasonal GTM plans
• Deliver the seasonal marketing plans, marketing calendars and update US brand center tools for each Salomon outdoor and Suunto sales meeting
• Ensures Salomon and Suunto brands are always presented to trade and consumers within brand equity guidelines
• Provide global teams with regular marketing planning KPI progress and results
• Provide day to day management and mentoring to the Outdoor Sports Marketing Associate on the execution of GTM plans and budgets
• Collaborate with all ASWO Brand Marketing functions to continually look for synergies and scale across the Amer Sports brand portfolio
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging consumer trends within the outdoor category, identifying opportunities to exploit future growth
• Work with external PR agency in the creation and execution of seasonal PR plans that place Salomon and Suunto products/athletes into relevant consumer and trade media channels
• Plan and manage the annual marketing budgets and quarterly forecasting for Salomon outdoor and Suunto brands
• Manage the PO and invoices process, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget
supervisory responsibilities:
Manages Outdoor Sports Marketing Associate. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees planning, assigning, and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required education & experience:
• BA or BS in Marketing or Communications with 5 years minimum marketing experience gained on either the client or agency side
Other qualifications, skills & abilities:

• Strong Interpersonal communication skills and excellent public presentation skills
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of the social media environment, PR, retail and community marketing
• Outdoor industry experience and a passion for the outdoors a plus
• Travel both nationally and internationally up to 25% of the time
