What we want: A highly energetic, highly professional, highly collaborative team member to execute and oversee all things visual – from designing magazine covers to website banners, from planning photo shoots to digital photography correction.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Brand Director and Editorial staff on issue planning and production
• Manage contributing illustrators and photographers
• Plan, assist, and execute photo shoots
• Organize and track photo submissions
• Execute all design work for WINDSURFING, KITEBOARDING, and auxiliary print products
• Help web editors and developers execute the design aesthetic of the print product.
• Provide quality control over projects and concepts
• Manage production process of print issues

Requirements

• 3-5 years of graphic design experience
• 3-5 years of experience with digital photography manipulation and color correction
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling
• Fresh, out-of-the-box approach to design, exceptional creativity
• Experience establishing new brand identities
• Strong typographical skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator and Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Office applications
• Basic knowledge of content management systems such as Wordpress or Blogger and social media apps such as Twitter and Facebook.
