The Inside Sales Representative is an integral part of the Cervelo business. They are the primary connection from brand headquarters to our retail partners who ultimately service Cervelo riders in their community. Building and maintaining cooperative retailer relationships while also meeting sales targets is a challenging, but critical dynamic for success. From annual revenue planning and pre-season allocation management to on-time delivery of orders, this role works as the quarterback for Cervélo’s sales operations to meet or exceed monthly quotas and deadlines for their assigned territory.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE:
1. Achieve stated revenue targets through active selling to established base of Cervelo dealers
2. Manage sales order process for Cervelo dealers
3. Create pre-season order proposals for dealers using historical data and inventory management
4. Maximize revenue and dealer fulfillment by matching open demand to inventory ready to ship
5. Be a driving force for the Cervelo brand within your assigned territory driving brand allegiance with retail partners while achieving revenue targets
6. Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to identify prospects and establish new accounts and write orders
7. Coordinate with Outside Sales Representatives to create and execute the sales plan, manage the flow of inventory and build relationships with dealers
8. Be an expert in the market dynamics in your territory identifying opportunities and threats to sales leadership to maximize brand performance
9. Work with select dealers to manage overflow of inventory
10. Provide management with accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts for your assigned territory per model to guide sales planning process
11. Provide regular budget reports and year-to-date sales reports for Outside Sales Representatives and management
12. Represent Cervelo at industry events such as sales meetings, Sea Otter Classic and travel within territory
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
1. 5+ years of experience in a sales role in specialty distribution or outdoor industry retail
2. Experience coordinating with Outside Sales Representatives on shared goals
3. Expert knowledge of bicycle mechanics and bicycle components
4. High level of digital competency, with experience in Microsoft Office and Google app suites
5. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or similar ERP software is preferred
6. Demonstrated ability to plan for and meet revenue and margin targets
7. Experience in managing your own workload and managing time effectively
8. Ability to work as part of a semi-remote team
9. Ability to travel 10-25%
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. 5+ years of experience in a sales role in specialty distribution or outdoor industry retail; Experience coordinating with Outside Sales Representatives on shared goals.
HOURLY PAY RANGE/COMMISSION: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview with a potential range between $25-$30/hr. There is also an additional $25,000 in annual commission that can potentially be earned based on the achievement of sales goals.
