WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
From our distribution centers, we distribute throughout EMEA region and serve a large network of consumers. We are looking for engaging and diverse professionals that are willing to join our team for a 3-month internship starting in February at our European Logistics Center in Grobbendonk, Belgium. An independent self starter who has a critical mindset and is strong in analyzing data and translating this into process improvements. A strong communicator with good infulencing skills that shows willingness to learn and is not afraid of challenges.Our internship program aims to bring fresh talent to Nike, Inc. and provide the opportunity to learn, network and explore. Interns will be a part of a diverse community of international students who build the future of Nike, Inc. together!
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Logistics & Supply Chain Innovation Intern at Converse youll be learning, analyzing, and improving our sustainability targets.You will make sure the Converse sustainability targets will be aligned across both warehouses for energy and waste accounting.In addition, you will further optimize our carbon emission accounting in our outbound transportation network which is in place for one warehouse only.Next to that you will create an analysis and recommendation on what is needed to put this in place for both Converse warehouses.Carbon emission accounting for our inbound transportation network is a blank spot to date.We expect the intern to network within the Converse and Nike organization to draft a recommendation to Converse EMEA on actions to take.
WHAT YOU BRING
Higher degree Bachelor student in or related to sustainability is a plus.
Critical eye for (logistics) processes and innovations in the marketplace.
You are proficient in English
Flexible work approach able to navigate ambiguous environment.
Determined with a strong focus on outputs and results.
Ambitious, autonomous and information seeking attitude.
Eagerness to be an active member of the team and take ownership
A global approach and ideally a passion for sport and sustainability.
IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN INTERNSHIP, YOU MUST
Be a student for the whole duration of the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution)
Be available for a 3-month fulltime internship starting February 1st, 2024
