We are looking for a Product Developer to join our crew.
POSITION:
• Product Developer. Responsible for developing 2D designs into functional, salable, 3-dimensional products in a timely and organized manner.
• Create, communicate, manage, and modify a detailed tech pack--including construction pages, color pages, bill of materials and measurement specs--for each style.
• Communicate externally with factories and materials suppliers to manage the integrity of each style through the pre-production process, anticipating and solving issues that could affect timely delivery of prototypes and sales samples.
• This is a tough job that requires superior attention to detail, persistence, patience, diligence, and a strong work ethic.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Manage product development from design handoff to PPS
- Ensure product quality and excellence through development process
- Complete development in timely manner to ensure SMS delivery in accordance with operations calendar
- Work with internal and external partners to develop quality products that address style, function, cost, market appeal and manufacturability.
- Create, communicate and maintain Development Schedule
- Work with designers to understand each style’s fit, form, function, and intended customer, in order to carry these criteria through the development process
- Create and manage style Tech Packs, including construction schematics,
BOM, fit specs, graphic schematics, line art, comment sheet
- Establish and maintain positive, professional, and accountable relationships with external suppliers
- Make sure prototypes align with TP construction details
- Communicate all proto changes to both external factory and internal sourcing dept. through TP updates and comment sheets
- Document / maintain record of all communications with suppliers and factories, to ensure their accountability
- Develop and manage fits, specs, and grading
- Schedule fit sessions and document fit issues and changes
- Translate fit issues / modifications to factory and/or patternmakers
- Track and confirm lab dips
- Work with factory and sourcing so that all projects are engineered in accordance with cost targets
- Critique prototypes with a critical eye to possible failure points.
- Test all materials, processes, prototypes and development samples ensure adherence to highest quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of outerwear and base layer functionality, materials, and construction
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 4-year degree in related field + 2 years experience as a Developer, OR 5 years professional Product Development experience
- Expert proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
- Facility with Excel / spreadsheets
- Patternmaking experience preferred
- Experience in outdoor industry / action sports / outerwear preferred
- Chinese language skills a plus
