ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and execution of fully integrated, consumer facing Outdoor Go To Market plans for the Salomon and Suunto brands for Amer Sports Winter and Outdoor (ASWO)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
• Adapts Global Brand marketing strategies for Salomon Outdoor and Suunto to create commercially viable and consumer relevant Go To Market plans for ASWO
• Ensures Salomon and Suunto brands are always presented to trade and consumers within brand equity guidelines
• Provide Global teams with timely and relevant regional market insights across the sport, consumer, distribution channels and competitive landscape
• Work with Suunto, Salomon Footwear and Apparel commercial teams in the creation and execution of seasonal commercial and consumer go to market plans
• Provide day to day management and mentoring to the Suunto Brand Associate and Outdoor Sports Marketing Manager on the execution of Go to market plans and budget
• Collaborate with all ASWO Brand managers and Brand Marketing functions to continually look for synergies and scale across the ASWO region
• Ensure alignment and buy in from Senior management on seasonal go to market plans and annual budgets
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging consumer trends within the Outdoor category, identifying opportunities to exploit future growth
• Work with external PR agency in the creation and execution of seasonal PR plans that place Salomon and Suunto products/athletes into relevant consumer and trade media channels
• Brief in-house and external creative services teams on the creation of industry leading sell in, sell thru and sell out collateral
• Act as the hub for all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure complete alignment in the creation and execution of marketing programs with an emphasis on: digital/community marketing/in-store excellence
• Deliver the seasonal Marketing plans and toolbox at Salomon and Suunto sales meetings
• Plan and manage the annual marketing budgets for Salomon Outdoor and Suunto
• Manage and track invoices ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages Suunto Brand Associate and Outdoor Sports Marketing Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees planning, assigning, and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS in Marketing or Communications with 5 years minimum Marketing experience gained on either the client or agency side
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaboration is a key success factor for this position and the Outdoor Brand manager must be a able to ensure alignment and buy in across a matrix organization
• Ability to interact with senior management to understand and interpret business requirements for the creation of commercially relevant Go to market plans
• Strong Interpersonal communication skills and Excellent public presentation skills
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially word, excel and powerpoint
• Strong understanding of the Social Media environment, PR, retail and community marketing
• Outdoor industry experience and a passion for the outdoors a plus
• Travel both Nationally and Internationally up to 25% of the time
