Basic Functions:
• Sell in product, take orders, replenishment, sales performance, product knowledge, service, merchandising, training
• Manage Key Accounts in each target region
• Responsible for developing and maintaining programs and relationships with accounts personnel
• Evaluate/develop account plans - marketing and sales tools, merchandising, product, shipping, rep, training needs, assortment, displays, events
• Seek out new account opportunities - new accounts, improvement in current accounts (replenishment, shop in shop, assortment planning, merchandising, POP, windows, training)
• Identify training needs within each account and communicate needs to Management
• Determine and manage sampling and merchandising needs for the channel (product samples, POP, displays, fixtures)
• Develop criteria, financial impact and calendar for sales contests for the year by initiative and monitor and gather contest results
• Gather feedback on product, marketing, sales techniques
• Gather industry information on in store training, contests, product seeding, events and market shifts
• Review and understand sales performance of the channel (sales by channel, product mix, etc.).
• Work with other Sales Managers to learn what is working/not working for the channel - go to market, product and competitive threats.
• Execute and monitor overall strategies and performance of all accounts - account sophistication, vendor agreements, inventory levels, sell through data
• Provide input to Management on the development and refinement of the forecast based on the conceptual line plan
• Work with Marketing Team to schedule and plan events within the region
• Manage budgets
• Attend account events
• Attend trade shows
