We are currently seeking a WMS Expert who will report to Global Logistics Methods & Performance Improvement Senior Manager as part of our Global Logistics Methods and Performance Improvement team in Trecate (Novara).
Your opportunity
You will be the group WMS knowledge manager and be responsible of a new stream fully focused on WMS solutions with a global perimeter. So, you will be in charge of leading the regional logistics teams to continuously improve their WMS solutions, cover the gaps in case of misalignment with physical flows and define a standard WMS framework for each kind of logistics flow. A strong partnership with the other Supply Chain departments, IT department and 3PL will be a key element for the success in this role.
How you will contribute
Map the as-is logistics flows with particular focus on warehouse processes
Identify the gaps between physical flows and WMS processes
Define the WMS functional specifications to cover the gaps
Standardize the WMS solution among different logistics sites
Design new WMS solutions starting from green field
Be the project manager for the WMS initiatives on a global perimeter
Be the focal point for any WMS change request
Be the link between internal customers and IT department, to make sure the IT roadmap is properly aligned with the logistics group roadmap
Manage technical and detailed documents, keeping them updated
Be constantly aligned with the continuous evolution of group main processes and group ERP
Co-design WMS solutions in collaboration with 3PL and provider
Root cause analysis on gaps between target and actual performances Vs Budget or Forecast, and identify corrective actions, define mitigation and recovery plan
Gather regular updates at WW level on traceability running processes in terms of efficacy, performances, and costs: formalize and maintain synthetic reporting for clients and top management
Who you are
You are graduated in Management Engineering or similar fields
A professional with solid experience in Logistics with a specific focus on warehousing, preferably in WMS software houses or consultancy companies providing WMS solutions
Deep knowledge of WMS solutions and proven experience in writing WMS functional specifications
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, that can communicate effectively with different levels of internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to challenge the status quo, inspire and influence as well as active listening skills and empathy
Detailed and structure approach to complex problems and great negotiation skills
An expert in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point
Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
Proven experience in leading multi-regional projects
Ability to travel and constantly collaborate with different regions
