WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be a phenomenal teammate on our HR Integration Technology team! This role is GLOBAL in scope and will play a key role in supporting our recent Workday integration. We desire someone who is excellent at coordinating with users and related teams / organizations, as well as someone with strong hands-on technical expertise.

This role develops information technology strategies, polices, and plans, and produces analysis, design, implementation, operations, and support of the organization's IT resources, systems, and software/database products. This role also coordinates software issues with development and operation resources and supports configuration, security, monitoring, and reporting processes.
This position is based at our exceptionally appealing world headquarters location in Beaverton, Oregon.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
We need someone who can lead a team of engineers working on integrations across products after the launch in July 2023. The person in this position will evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the technical impacts of application configuration decisions.

In a typical week, this person will be working on the below activities:
About 30% of your time will be spent coordinating with internal Nike teams (HR, IT, Engineering, etc.); about 40% of your time will be focused on incident resolution (production support); and about 30% of your time on Workday enhancements / change requests
Work with product management to understand business requirements
Build detailed system integration specifications, field mapping, and process designs
Develop, test, and deploy integrations required to meet business requirements and conduct code reviews
Accountable to deliver integrations on time and with quality
Maintain up-to-date integration design documentation to reflect any changes
Conduct root cause analysis to determine appropriate action plan for break/fix
Ensure 100% alignment to all policy, processes, and procedures along with maintaining discretion and confidentiality in all areas of HR data and information, whether internal to Nike or customer specific


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The successful candidate will be working / collaborating closely with the following teams: Product Management, Engineering/IT, Corporate Functions / HR, and Integrations teams.


WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree in the relevant or a related field
Must have 5+ years of Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors and their related tools such as XML, XSLT
5+ years' experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors is required
Expertise and proficiency in global payroll connectors and PECI based integrations is a MUST
Proven experience building integrations and software development
Experience with Web Services (WSDL, SOAP), EDI and Flat file integrations
At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience
Sophisticated understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle including integration requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and move to production
Knowledge of SaaS applications, SaaS deployment models, and SaaS DevOps
Ability to collaboratively work with Product owners and Product Managers in the implementation of the technical content in Agile Framework
Demonstrated ability to lead junior team members
Workday Studio Certification preferred
Experience with Object Oriented concepts preferred
