Marketing – Events & Fleet Manager

Summary of Position:
This position is based out of our Carlsbad, CA location and directly manages the North American marketing-oriented event program, domestic tradeshows, vehicle fleet, contests and sponsor relations. In addition, this position lends administrative support and execution for all global tradeshows.

I Marketing Event Program Management
•Coordinate, facilitate and mange all events/projects which require set up, organization, customization or assistance for all segments.
•Obtain necessary event insurance for sponsored events.
•Obtain necessary sales and seller permits.
•Obtain insurance for grassroots and vending events.
•Update the company website events page for all segments.
•Responsible for the inventory of promotional items for events.

II Marketing Vehicle Fleet Management
•Manage vehicle-specific employees including Field Marketing Representative.
•Develop and maintain a regional master vehicle marketing schedule for the company Bus.
•Maintain all vehicles including coordinating insurance, vehicle registration, smog checks, oil checks, etc.
•Responsible for ensuring proper inventory on vehicles for events including product, POP, stickers, and promo product, posters, tables, displays, catalogs, banners, EZ-Ups, sponsor POP, etc.
•Monitor and stay within budget for the various vehicle budgets including, vehicle program budget and vehicle promo budget.
•Work with AP to facilitate payments for vehicle vendors, parking fees, expense reports, etc.
•Coordinate and facilitate the customization and completion of additional marketing vehicles that are added to the company fleet.
•Coordinate and facilitate all vehicle give-away’s through magazine promotion or other events.
•Update the company Bus schedule on the vehicle page of the company website.
III Trade Show Management
•Complete all planning for company-attended trade shows including badges, space contracts, booth planning and construction, drayage, electrical, catering, transportation, labor, etc.
•Work with vendors on all booth aspects including booth builders, display vendors, crate builders, furniture vendors, custom signs vendors, etc.
•Work with AP to facilitate payments for all trade show vendors.
•Monitor and maintain trade show budget.
•Organize a master calendar and checklist for the completion of artwork, product lines, color product line sheets, booth walls, frame, catalogs, sales order forms, booth furniture, etc.
•Coordinate, facilitate and mange all company-attended North American tradeshows.
•Provide administrative assistance and planning for all company-attended global tradeshows.
•Responsible for the promotional items for tradeshows.
•Obtain all necessary tradeshow insurance.
•Responsible for additional marketing efforts such as themes, uniforms, parties, sponsorships, shuttles, etc.

IV Contests
•Coordinate, facilitate and mange all planning for company consumer and retail contests including contest design, contest form, contest poster, contest promotional item, contest venue, contest sponsors, contest prizes and appoint vendors who contribute to the contest prizes, etc.
•Work with pr and web designers to facilitate contest forms on the company website.
•Obtain all necessary insurance.
•Provide administrative assistance of contest releases of liability regarding contests.

V Sponsor Relations and Industry Co-Ops
•Assist in the creation, planning and follow through of contracts for all sponsors.
•Compile a book for each sponsor, which supports the binding contract, at the end of contract.
•Work with Industry contacts for co-op’s on parties, web contests, special events/programs, product trade, etc.

Addition Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field
•Writing & editing experience
•Detail Oriented
•Multi-task
•Microsoft Office and Internet Experience
•Strong communication skills
•Outgoing personality
•Previous Action Sports industry experience
