Being boring sucks. We don’t like it you don’t like it. We are looking for a temp-to-hire Visual Web Developer in our Web department. Our Visual Developer will focus on creating visuals for our family of web sites and making them a reality on the web. You’ll work together with our Art Director to create designs and interfaces to meet our brands’ web needs, and will code them out using HTML and CSS.
At times you'll be taking comps from our lead designer & working with him to carry them through to sub-pages or into email templates. Other times you’ll be called on for image production work.
We’re looking for a designer with a good aesthetic taste who understands today’s web environment, but is open to learn a whole lot more and has a passion for skateboarding, surfing, whatever. And fish tacos. Don’t forget about the fish tacos.If you’ve got what is takes to make that happen (and you like fish tacos), then we would most definitely like to see your information.
As our Visual Web Developer you will be responsible for:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Assist in design & development for main projects
2.Assist in design & development for site content features
3.Design & production of online store features
4.Design & production of email newsletters
5.Design & production of contest pages
6.Image Production
Qualifications Required:
-2+ years of general Web Nerd activity
-Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
-Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
-Strong CSS skills
-Understanding of HTML5/XHTML
-Experience with FTP
Preferred but not required qualifications:
JavaScript/Jquery/AJAX
CSS3
Web Standards (W3C)
Web Typography
Good Usability Principles
Unix/CLI
Subversion
Cross-browser compatibilities
IRC
PHP5/OO design principles
Skateboarding/snowboarding/surfing
