Marketing Communications Manager - SRAM and Truvativ

Our business is growing, and the need for marketing leadership and support is extremely valuable. Reporting directly to the Global Marketing Director, this position will be responsible for establishing and executing marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives in the MTB category. This position is exclusively located in Chicago (If you’re interested but challenged by the location, please don’t apply).
This position will primarily focus on Marketing in the MTB category, but will assist in other categories as appropriate. Brand focus is within the SRAM and Truvativ product lines. This position may focus on some or all of the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
• Oversee marketing, advertising and promotional staff, agencies and activities.
• Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan changes as needed.
• Manage aspects of marketing promotions for specified products.
• Design, develop, and execute marketing collateral including catalogs, flyers, sales materials, and web content.
• Direct advertising and promotional activities.
• Oversee preparation and dissemination of press releases and articles and coordinates media events.
• Direct the writing, editing and publishing of organizational publications.
• Attend media and trade show events as representative of company. Stay abreast of current trends and guide strategic planning through recommendations.
• Coordinate packaging design and implementation
• Contribute to product launches as product specialist.
Specific Requirements:
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Marketing background – Related College degree. (Design degree a plus)
• Creative design skills
• Strong Organizational skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Solid Computer know how, practical experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Self sufficient with Apple computers and products.
• Experience managing people and/or agencies
• 3-5 Years proven experience in marketing field
• Willing to travel and work weekends as needed
