SPY is seeking an energetic and experienced Marketing Coordinator. This position reports to the Marketing Manager at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.
POSITION SUMMARY //
SPY’s Snow & Outdoors Marketing Coordinator must be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented team player with strong organizational and communication skills. The job has varied responsibilities, but top priority is supporting the Marketing Manager in coordinating integrated marketing initiatives for the Snow and Outdoors Segments in an omni-channel environment, which yields SPY product sales, supports key SPY initiatives and furthers brand awareness in the space. This is a highly collaborative position that interfaces with the marketing and creative department, as well as external vendors and partners.
This position reports to the Marketing Manager and is based at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES // (including but not limited to the following):
• Understands and upholds marketing objectives and key metrics
• Supports and contributes to the Snow and Outdoors segments’ marketing projects and initiatives as assigned by Marketing Manager
• May run components of marketing projects, based on skillset and ability under the supervision of the Marketing Manager
• Coordinates athlete needs and may communicate with athletes or agents under the supervision of the Marketing Manager
• Including but not limited to: processing of contract request forms, proofing of contracts, tracking of partnership compliance (social posts, etc), and fulfillment of promotional product requests
• Communicates with Media, Resort and Collaborative partners
• Coordinates all event logistics and supervises event staff when applicable
• Coordinates promotional product orders
• Coordinates photoshoot logistics
• May coordinate PR and advertising needs
• May coordinate social or influencer needs
• May coordinate digital needs
• Creates organizational documents to help support Marketing Manager
• Creates project status and timeline documents
• Creates creative asset grids and sources deliverable specifications
• Creates or contributes to product information outlines such as product knowledge sheets
• Continuously examines and refines marketing activations in progress, leveraging learnings week over week to improve overall results
Marketing Metrics and Recaps:
• Creates recap documents summarizing programs under the direction of Marketing Manager on a timely basis (weekly or monthly, pending program specifics)
• Tracks, compiles and organizes all examples of marketing executions (event photos, press clips, social posts, etc)
• Tracks, compiles and organizes marketing program metrics and results, including marketing reach/frequency as well as marketed product sales
• May report on a daily basis during key market moments
• Acquires approvals and socializes recaps in a timely manner to necessary parties
• Ensures all marketing recaps and reports are saved to shared server for future use
Creative Deliverable Support:
• Compiles creative asset grids outlining list of deliverables and specifications
• Submits art tickets and monitors creative project status
• Assists in ensuring art team has access to appropriate product for photoshoots, etc.
• Proofs all creative for spelling, grammar and compliance with ticketed request
• Coordinates logistics of photoshoots – ensuring call sheets, contact grids, athlete participation, etc. are finalized and distributed
• Coordinates delivery and hand-off of creative assets to strategic partners, once approved by Marketing Manager – and under their direct supervision
• May interface with vendors and agencies in a support capacity – and follows up with Marketing Manager to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely fashion
TRAVEL // 25%-30% based on season
