BIC Sport is looking for a Marketing & Digital Media Coordinator to join the team at headquarters in West Wareham, MA. about an hour outside of Boston.
Based on the Brittany Coast in France, BIC Sport is a global leader in water sports with over thirty years history. Initially investing in the growth of windsurfing through the 1980’s, BIC Sport achieved the leading position on the market with over one million boards produced and sold by the early 1990’s. In the following period, the company has diversified and expanded into new categories including surfing, kayaks, small sailboats, and most recently stand-up paddleboards (SUP). DESCRIPTION:
This position supports all aspects of the Marketing Department within BIC Sport North America. The primary day to day functions will involve prioritizing, scheduling and planning all marketing needs followed by timely execution. The role reports directly to the Product & Marketing Manager, but will assist the entire team in helping develop collateral materials, presentations, campaigns, etc. Self-management and initiative to coordinate all action items and ensuring on-time follow-up or completion of tasks is critical, while promoting the best presentation for the BIC Sport brand and products in the marketplace. Specifically, the successful candidate will be active in several key areas of responsibilities:
1.) Coordinating digital and traditional media materials and marketing assets such as print advertisements, catalogs, price lists & programs, press releases, newsletter, etc. including delivery to the appropriate internal or external contacts.
2.) Collecting, creating, scheduling and publishing content through various social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.), with expertise in social media management tools for execution, optimization, tracking and reporting.
3.) Maintaining and updating all digital properties including micro-sites, e-com platforms/product catalogs, and in some cases outside clients for BIC Sport products.
4.) Supporting Sales and Marketing Teams for preparation and execution of trade shows, events, promotions, photo/video shooting, and other special operations along with coordination of associated assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain detailed database information related to dealer network, sales reps, media contacts, consumer groups, etc.
• Manage all printed and digital sales and marketing materials, including creative, proofing, publishing and curating of final documents, and sourcing production with outside vendors where needed.
• Manage requests and coordinate creation or delivery of marketing assets for retail partners, sales reps, media, sponsored athletes/ambassadors and other partners.
• Manage regular contact, and associated publishing schedules with media outlets, including timely delivery of marketing assets and press releases.
• Direct management of web-based contact lists (Constant Contact or similar platform) for development and delivery of content to target groups.
• Social media toolkit management (Sprout or similar platform) to optimize campaigns, interpret results, present metrics, and make adjustments for maximum effectiveness.
• Creating network and search ad campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) with ability to monitor and optimize in real-time for best results.
• Maintain master events calendar for coordination of hard assets/collateral, and media promotion pre, post and during various events.
• Assist contact and coordination of sponsored athletes and ambassador needs, and collection of content for social media postings.
REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and creative skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress and HTML.
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage internal and external resources within a team environment.
• Self motivated, organized, attention to detail.
• Able to respect deadlines for reporting or actions.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the company/getting the job done.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
• 4 year college degree (or equivalent work experience), in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Business.
• Minimum 2+ years work experience in web-based and social media marketing efforts.
• Successful experience with on-line acquisition initiatives, and/or Email Marketing.
• Interest in or passion for watersports a plus.
