We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our busy marketing team. This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of Dansko’s marketing programs and staff.
Essential Functions of this Position:
• Must have the ability to translate strategic goals into creative solutions
• Practical experience and understanding of marketing functional areas, to include writing, market research, PR, promotions, online and creative services
• Collaborates with Marketing team members to conceptualize, recommend and implement strong, effective marketing programs directed to retail and consumer audiences
• Responsible for the guidance/development of marketing team members in achieving project implementation
Position Requirements:
• Solid understanding of brand/product marketing in a retail environment - implementation experience is essential
• Ability to effectively lead both internal and external teams
• Experience in measuring ROI on programs and has the ability to make strong recommendations
Education and/or Experience:
• Hands-on marketing experience with softline brands or at retail
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English or related field
• Proven track record in successfully marketing at least two strong regional or national consumer brands. Experience in rolling out large scale marketing programs at retail is essential
• Footwear or Apparel industry experience a plus
