Merchandise Processor Compensation Range: $23.50/Hr - $30.00/Hr
Target Hiring Rate: $23.50/Hr

General Summary
As a Merchandise Processor, you will perform multiple tasks and processes associated with operations of the Patagonia Reno Service Center. Although your primary responsibilities will be in the Shipping department, this role is cross-functional and there may be opportunities to assist in other departments within the distribution center, including but not limited to Inventory Control, Quality Control, Receiving, Repairs, Returns, or Worn Wear as needed. All of these functions are critical to the success of Patagonia and Patagonia meeting its goal to save our home planet.
What You’ll Do
Primary Responsibilities
Picking: the picking of merchandise for the four divisions of Patagonia; Mail Order, Retail, Wholesale and International. Matching pick label information with item hang tag info. Making sure pick items are placed on conveyor belts at appropriate times.
Induction: placing picked merchandise onto the tilt tray sorter to be delivered and sorted to one of the pack stations. Ongoing and consistent communication with the picking and packing departments on progress of “wave” induction.
Packing: the packing of outbound orders for each division of Patagonia. Packing product for each customer requires attention to detail, accuracy and critical thinking to make sure each carton is packed to the customer’s/dealer’s requirements.
Error Table: Resolving problem orders in packing. Working in conjunction with the Packing Supervisor and Inventory Control to resolve any problem orders in a timely manner.
Shipping: the shipping of outbound orders. This includes but is not limited to palletizing, wrapping, staging, and/or loading orders into appropriate shipping areas/trailers. Additional responsibilities include shipping miscellaneous packages (e.g. returns) and the delivery of store pickup orders. The Shipper(s) will also be responsible for ensuring that all orders packed that day, are also shipped.
Other responsibilities include the loading of all outbound carriers and trailers, as well as general housekeeping.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
Inventory Control: Sort and put back to shelf returns from Direct, Wholesale and Retail customers.
Receiving: Assist in the unloading, receiving, and palletizing of inbound shipments.
Returns (Guarantee Services): Process all direct and wholesale returns efficiently and accurately.
Quality Control: Work with Reno Quality Auditor staff performing 100 % inspections to meet Patagonia Quality Standards; includes, but not limited to: managing workflow, organizing paperwork and communication of project results.
Repairs / Worn Wear Processing: Intaking and evaluating all incoming direct from consumer garments to determine its next best use.

Experience You Bring:
Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but not required
PC computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel experience is a plus.
Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and non-verbal
Proven experience working with groups across difference in respectful and equitable ways.
Physical Requirements
Ability to complete repetitive tasks daily.
Ability to physically distinguish differences of color.
Ability to consistently climb stairs and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to safely lift 70 lbs.
Hours of Operation
Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm.
Must be willing to work other days of the week if necessary.
Extended hours occur during holidays and peak season.
