Eddie Bauer, located in Bellevue, WA (Seattle area), is in search of a Merchandiser for its Men's Apparel category. This person will be responsible for executing departmental merchandising strategies and action plans that meet the financial and marketing objectives of the Apparel team.
Core Accountabilities:
- Translate product strategies into action plans and execute to achieve division and department goals.
- Define product needs by department that align with divisional objectives and manage the optimal product assortment within the financial framework that meets or exceeds sales and margin plans.
- Support clear and compelling product stories by month including hero items, key styles, and novelty. Responsible for detailed handoff to Creative partners. Responsible for seasonal handoff to Planning partners.
- Review seasonal buy plans for all styles at a high level with detailed ownership of buy plans for novelty styles.
- Manage the delivery of clear, comprehensive and accurate product information to Creative and Marketing partners.
- Monitor and track sales and sell-through on a weekly basis and work with planning partners on managing product selling life cycle.
- Identify opportunities to chase. Thoroughly analyze current season department/category selling data to inform future merchandising strategies.
- Actively maintain up to date knowledge of market trends, regularly providing feedback to merchandising leadership on competition and EB customer experience. Demonstrate a commitment to quality. Report and react to returns data and customer ratings/reviews.
- Direct procurement of product where applicable.
- Some travel may be required.
