Billabong has an immediate opening for a Product Developer / Merchandiser for Men's Boardshorts / Bottoms including Denim.

In order to do this we would like you to supply us with all available samples, support materials, and anything else you can think of as soon as possible to paint a picture of how your design skills, sense-of-style, and personality will fit into our department. Duties to include, but not limited to the following:
*Work closely with Designers and Senior Merchandisers to develop boardshort /walkshort and pant lines.
*Maintain line plans for boardshort /walkshort and pant/denim lines
*Extensive communication with overseas vendors to make sure that new development and salesman’s samples are received correctly and on time
*Complete production matrix for each style
*Handover of development to production department
*Review salesman’s samples /pre-production samples and make necessary comments.

Key Requirements:
*Candidate should have a background in Apparel and knowledge of garment construction and fabric/textiles
*Experience with Import Production or Development a must
*Must be Deadline Driven
*Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
*Pro-active with a solution/result oriented attitude
*Must be MAC computer literate in Applications - Adobe Illustrator, Word, Excel, Outlook
*Previous experience in the Action Sports industry a plus.
