Nixon, in Encinitas, Calif., is looking for a full-time Product Manager (Headphones) to oversee the design, development, and when necessary, production of this new category.
Team Designed / Custom Built. Nixon’s mission is to be the leader in premium custom watches and accessories for customers 15 – 40 year old through combining our action-sports heritage, our team of athletes, contemporary fashion, and distinctive design. We are a global organization with distribution ranging from action sport retailers and designer boutiques to notational chains.

DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to and working with the Category Manager, the full-time Product Manager for Headphones will oversee the Design, Development, and when necessary Production of this new category for Nixon. If this sounds like something you’re interested in you will be expected to work closely with marketing, team, sales, and design personnel to oversee the launch and growth of this new and exciting category. This includes everything from the early ideation stages through marketing and sales programs. All details of the developed products will be under the Product Manager’s supervision such as product specification, international vendor / production management, QC, testing, and scheduling.
If you are an organized planner, an excellent communicator with 3-6 yrs. of proven Product experience (specifically in consumer electronics) and you have a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) then keep reading. A good understanding of manufacturing techniques in metals, fabrics, and plastics, along with a good design vocabulary, and the desire to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment is required. Core computer literacy is critical for all Microsoft Office programs. Candidates should also have the ability to develop and express new, cutting edge ideas, have an understanding of product specifications and production, with a working knowledge of technical design packages (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop). Action sports industry experience preferred. Should enjoy extensive amounts of travel.
