Sales Manager

Seirus is the premier manufacturer of technical winter sports cold weather accessories.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Manager will execute Seirus’ sales strategy and sales support activities in designated territories, focusing on profitable net sales growth while leveraging existing customer relationships into market share gains, developing and executing plans to deliver new channels of distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Seirus’ sales programs and independent sales rep agencies within assigned territories. Scout and recommend sales agencies. Monitor and measure performance and provide advice and training on improving wholesale and retail sales performance. Develops sales goals and promotions.

Responsible for individual strategic planning and sales performance for key customers within their assigned sales territory. Responsible for aggressive development of new large format targeted customers. Provide leadership when working with dealers and sales agencies. Special attention given to establishing goals which increase net sales.

Manage prescribed territories, organize and manage dealer education, sales meetings, trade shows, regional promotions, sales rep training, and sales rep evaluations.

Travel as required to support dealer base relationships, rep training, trade show activities and the development of new sales programs or territories. Expect extensive travel throughout the year, including trade shows, account visits and sales meetings

Exhibit versatile presentations skills for effective communicate to groups of up to 60 people.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

• The Sales Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales for Seirus.
• Direct reports to the Sales Manager will include the sales agencies responsible for sales in the assigned territories.
• The Sales Manager will interact with other Sales Managers, departmental managers in marketing, production, finance and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Seirus is looking for candidates that fit the following profile:
• A highly motivated individual with a history of success within an accessory company maintaining key relationships, selling and servicing outdoor and winter sports dealers from the smallest specialty stores to the largest big box chains. At least 5 years experience required.
• Must demonstrate ability to operate within a strong team environment promoting and growing our business within well defined guidelines. Must have experience in and a working knowledge of the Snow Sports Industry.
• Must have a passion for the Snow Sports business and the ability to talk the language. Experiences in the Military, Hunting and Safety channels are a plus.
• Will need to have experience leading/managing/coaching/supporting an experienced independent sales organization and demonstrate ability to develop and manage plans and budgets by account, territory and overall, and to create successful sales plans to concurrently meet both the account’s and Seirus’ needs. Must be strong at closing sales.
• Good organizational and program planning skills, ability to multi task, establish and manage priorities and meet required deadlines.
• Computer competency – Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Highly effective oral and written communication skills required.

COMPENSATION: Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
