WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Global Technology interns will support various functions across the enterprise. The ideal intern candidate has an ability to see the big picture, understand how technology impacts the entire organization, and must possess a passion for consumer facing digital technology and innovation.
Previous experience or demonstrated interest in a digital technology, marketing/consumer facing technology organization and/or enterprise data and analytics team.

Prior experience designing and implementing web/mobile applications

Knowledge of serverless architectures and services such as AWS Lambda and MS Azure functions.

Proven self-starter who can work in a complex collaborative environment that rewards experiments, initiative, curiosity, and mentoring.


WHAT YOULL EXPERIENCE:
Our goal for the Global Technology Internship is to provide an incredible and unique experience, showing what it is like to be at Nike full-time. As a Global Technology Intern, you will lead one or more projects that will require you to dive-deep into our business, exercise and showcase critical thinking while problem solving to deliver insights that will move the business. You will join a team of engineers, scrum masters and product owners to envision and deliver robust applications and services that bring Nike omni-channel solutions to the next level. This role will be involved in designing and building secure, highly scalable, and innovative services in a continuous delivery model on the Nike cloud platform.

Intern Project Examples Include:
Keep Nike on the offensive by integrating Machine Learning within our technologies to identify and resolve incidents faster and more efficiently.

Scale Nikes innovation teams and our sustainability goal of moving to zero waste through use of computer vision, code, agile methodologies, and robotics.

Ensuring people with disabilities have equitable access to Nikes Technology using Artificial Intelligence.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a graduate program with an expected graduation date of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025

Pursuing a masters degree in computer science, engineering, information sciences or related field

1-3 years work experience

Resume submission required


Technical Skills:
Knowledge of one or more computer programming languages: Java, Python, React, JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js, XCode, Swift

Experience in a cloud-based environment: AWS, Azure, Lambda, Google, IBM cloud, etc.

Experience in Docker, GCE, Rackspace or Kubernetes

Working knowledge of scrum and agile principles and continuous delivery tools like Git, Jira, Version One, or Bitbucket.

Preferred Experiences:
Experience in microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs

Knowledge of API security patterns and Cloud scaling patterns

Proven foundation in data structures, algorithms, and architecture patterns

Ability to define solutions, provide estimates of effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility

Proficient with DevOps, modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, and automated integration tests

Experience with data stores to ensure data storage is designed for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance. Knowledge of one or more relational or non-relational database technologies: Oracle, NoSQL, MS-SQL, Snowflake, AWS S3, Hbase, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB

Working knowledge of Agile principles

Proficient in pair programming and technical code reviews
