Position Summary:
Social channels are a great avenue for OluKai to connect with existing and find new customers. The scale and demographics of the channels make this role key to the future success of the OluKai brand and direct to consumer effort. This job is responsible for the care and feeding of all of our customers and potential customers who connect with us on social media channels. The job is a healthy mix of community management, platform management and engaging with creative on content. We strive to deliver a sense of Aloha through all of our efforts, social is an exciting and always on channel that enables us to deliver that to our consumers across the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Social Strategy
o Set the course for what Social Media means at OluKai by establishing a strategic vision for all social channels and KPIs to measure success
o Continue to build the channels – acquiring new consumers and building engagement
? Strategize on ways to use content to build emails/ brand/ ads
o Develop a channel and placement specific strategy that takes advantage of each outlets strengths
o Partner with creative to deliver smart, relevant and engaging creative on each platform within each medium
o Maintain visibility to all new channels and new promotional tactics within existing channels to ensure OluKai is taking advantage of relevant opportunities
o Bring innovation to the brand using new channels and platforms
? Ensure @OluKai ownership in all new channels
? Get us off the ground with TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest Organic
o Work with the Business Intelligence team to establish metrics that tie back to web visits and conversion
o Learning and innovation mindset is key

• Social Execution
o Working with the community manager to plan and execute 1x – 2x per day on Facebook, Instagram and develop an appropriate post cadence for TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and any other social tools we deem relevant as a brand
? Varying content by what’s working best on each channel
o Maintain a pulse on what’s current and topical within the social world to make recommendations on content, product and surface up any trends, opportunities or concerns to management

• Content Creation
o Producing video and stills on a regular basis for content for Stories and Wall
o Show OluKai’s connection to Hawaii by being present in relevant moments
o Comercialize our channel by being relevant and creative in brand, product and commercial moments
o Work with manager and Go to Market team to develop new storylines for marketing endeavors and product launches
o Manage and update brand marketing calendar at a monthly glance for planned posts.
o Develop a plan and strategy for executing and utilizing UGC
o Be reactive to offer ideas on opportunistic posts/stories to capitalize on
o Develop a close working relationship with creative team to partner on execution of built for social content

• Paid Social (organic)
o Manage budget for sponsored content and boosts to grow audience and engagement
• Influencer Engagement and Management
o Further OluKai’s strategic thinking in the influencer and content creator space
o Manage social ambassadors and influencers, current and prospects
? Leverage established social media influencer tool
o Be on the look-out for brand appropriate content with the mindset to chime in/ engage with it as a way to broaden the brands voice in social channels
o Mine the platforms for social influencers and advocates of the brand we should be developing key partnerships
o Perform outreach activities, including developing and maintaining relationships with key bloggers, influencers and other media. Leverage those relationships and opportunities where appropriate (i.e – talent for potential shoots, blog contributors, etc)
o Work with influencers to build follower growth, build content and distribute brand relevant content
• Community Management
o Always on attitude of monitoring our social channels to respond to customer inquiries, requests and customer service questions
o Build brand credibility by responding to and engaging with the community and commenting on brand relevant posts
o Maintain a pulse on what’s current and topical within the social world to make recommendations on content, product and surface up any trends, opportunities or concerns to management
o Assist community manager by responding within 24 hrs to 95-100% of consumer comments, questions, feedback on both paid and organic posts

• Channel Upkeep
o Develop and manage a weekly calendar for all brand posts on all channels, to be shared on a weekly basis with creative team
o Schedule and post, with help of community manager
o Engage in marketing meetings, brainstorms and activations.
o Ensure backgrounds, links, etc. are all actively maintained and updated.

• Analytics and Reporting
o Improve on our current social media reporting to ensure it’s relevant and actionable
? Work to derive insights that make us stronger/ better/ more nimble in the social space
o Monthly competitive trend analysis to show how we’re tracking against brand metrics outlined at beginning of the year
o Analyze sentiment on the channel to ensure it’s positive.
? Report back on trends and changes in sentiment and possible solutions to customer dissatisfaction.
o Utliization of UTM tags to track sales
• Management
o Manage and mentor staff members
o As a senior member of the marketing team work closely with the other managers to facilitate an environment of curiosity, enclusion, test-and-learn throughout the organization and team
