Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As a People & Culture Business Partner, you are responsible for aligning portfolio objectives and goals with people practices. This role has the unique opportunity and responsibility to create partnerships across the People and Culture function to deliver value-added programs to service and support leaders that reflect the business objectives of the organization. In this role you are passionate about evolving our people practices, and your desire to build collaborative relationships across the organization will contribute to an excellent employee experience. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Meet Your Future Team: The People & Culture Business Partner team operates in strategic partnership with the business, driving the continuous evolution of people and leadership practices and fostering a culture that generates high-performance teams, strengths-based coaching, and values-based leadership.If you were the People and Culture Business Partner now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: ! Seeking to understand every aspect of the business and as a thoughtful leader on people, culture, and organizational topics. Creating a people strategy that builds amazing teams to exceed business objectives. ! Uplifting the overall leadership capabilities of the business through coaching and partnership. identifying key talent, succession planning, supporting recognition and rewards, developing objectives, performance management, organization design, workforce planning, learning & development, conflict resolution and terminations. ! Identifying business and resource gaps, develop and gain alignment on effective solutions and implement improvements in partnership with the business. ! Creating diverse and inclusive work environment where different backgrounds, culture and attributes are celebrated through collaboration with experts and stakeholders in EDI. ! Contributing to special and cross functional projects as needed, including developing projects from scratch that solve organizational pain points. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You are in relationship; it is in your nature to develop and foster rapport, trust and influence both across our retail teams and throughout the entire business! You actively seek feedback from our leadership teams on our policies, programs, and processes, continuously identifying opportunities to improve the retail employee experience! As a cultural leader for our retail employees across the globe, you determine the most effective way to translate our core values and behaviors into a meaningful and relevant framework within your portfolio ! In providing advice and coaching to managers and employees on relevant business and people priorities, our corporate center teams see you as their best resource. ! In partnership with our teams, you identify business and resources gaps, develop and gain alignment on effective solutions, and implement improvements.! You have a unique ability to gather and analyze relevant people and business information. You use this strength to identify trends, communicate recommendations, get alignment on priorities and implement improvements. ! You are committed to your personal development and the development of those around you. You ensure relevant tools and information for managers and employees are readily available, communicated, and understood.! You jump at the opportunity to contribute to special and cross functional projects as needed, including developing projects from scratch that solve organizational pain points.Additional experience, education and/or skills:! You have a degree in Business plus 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within apparel ! You’re great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data and can manage a complex group of stakeholders! You have a highly collaborative style, and you’re both willing and able to work in teams as both a lead and supporting team member! You are a natural leader, and you’re not afraid to blaze a trail in uncharted territory ! You are able to coach, mentor, advise and where appropriate to support employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal objectives! You have strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities! You have an ability to analyze data, assess people, understand trends, and develop prioritized recommendations! You are an excellent listener with strong communication skills and an ability to communicate large complex change! You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done right and the next moment being part of highly complex business discussion! You are comfortable working in matrix environment, and you’re able to quickly build an in depth understanding of the business, including key processes, priorities and plans! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement! You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right!
