Throughout the course of your internship experience, you will own and drive a challenging and relevant project to solve real-time business challenges. Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager and guidance of channel Program Managers, and as a key member of the Marketing department, you will gain insights into the key functions of your team as it relates to REI’s broader strategy and vision.This role contributes to REI’s success by helping to drive qualified traffic at a solid return on ad spend (ROAS) through supporting and optimizing REI’s paid search and shopping, affiliate and influencer, and social selling programs with a transactional intent. This role will offer exposure and projects across these channels, providing an opportunity to drive business impact, while aligning to better support the Co-op’s goals. As an intern, this role will have definitive projects with a deadline.

Job Functions Include
Assist with benchmark data reporting across social platforms
Creation of partnership communications around promotions and marketing priorities
Assist with affiliate and influencer partner recruitment
Assist with expansion and maintenance of paid search support for gear & apparel brands and categories
Assist with updating keyword URLs across core Gear and Apparel to support business initiatives
Light keyword, search query analysis, benchmarking, and reporting
Customer innovation support and expansion
Assist in testing new ad units for transactional purposes
Qualifications And Expectations
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related disciplines (or have equivalent work experience).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Must be a passionate and eloquent advocate for the REI brand.
Basic understanding of paid search, partnership marketing, social platforms, planning, industry trends and measurement.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.
Demonstrate the ability to take on tasks of increasing complexity, or multiple tasks concurrently.
Knowledge of paid search analysis, reporting, and optimization within Google and Microsoft/Bing properties and ad units.
