Description



Works accordingly to Vans visual standards in order to generate sales and provide ease of shopping for customers. Creates merchandise displays utilizing in-store product and POP assets. The coordination and administration of all product merchandising stories in store in order to promote merchandise and increase customer awareness of current and new products. The merchandiser will create compelling product stories and eye-catching product displays that create clear and concise product messages to customers. The merchandiser will generate new ideas and guidelines for product Visual Merchandising Standards and provide in-store training to sales staff.



Key Responsibilities:
•Preparing a schedule of servicing all accounts in territory with shop-in-shops,build-outs and product merchandising opportunities. Keep an accurate and up to date Territory Profile which displays account information and day to day activity
•Create compelling product stories utilizing product merchandising knowledge based off of the Vans merchandising guide
•Manage the product display appropriately as per the current trend, seasonal cycle, and sales offers. Assist visual merchandiser on installs and bigger in store projects
•Analyze product inventory sheets to identify trends and potential missed opportunities for sales
•Educates account sales staff on Vans Visual Merchandising Guidelines
•Counts inventory to communicate with sales rep the need for at once orders or poor sell thru to boost sell thru and turn
•Thorough and consistent communication with territory visual merchandisers and sales reps. Constant communication with Visual Merchandiser and VM Team Leader. Provides detailed weekly report to VM Team Leader
•Fulfill administrative duties including but not limited to ERS, vehicle maintenance, performance manager
•Provide recommendations on product change or store makeover to decision makers within an account
•Keeping up to date knowledge on competitors products and merchandising techniques



Qualifications

Education/Experience:
•Years of Related Professional Experience: 1.5 + years.
•1.5 years+ of product merchandising experience College degree preferred from an accredited university, 1+ years related experience in the retail or action sports industry.
