WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Were looking for a Platform Operations Manager to join us! The ideal candidate is an experienced team manager who will lead out Seasonal Readiness & Product Activation functions. These functions are fast-paced, dynamic areas that need someone who is ready to jump in to drive efficiency, clarity and support the team. Our best Operations managers are natural leaders and motivators who are always up for a challenge. They are able to drive vision and purpose for the team to achieve their best potential.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
This role is a key enabler for the business growth in EMEA & responsibilities include oversight of end-to-end operations, team management & stakeholder management.
Day-to-day operations & process optimization
Focus on ensuring that product (ie. Footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, etc) is available at the right place & right time on our Nike owned-digital platforms driving the best consumer journey experience.
Drive efficiencies and continue to evolve our current processes.
Lead the seasonal process working cross-functionally to ensure dates and gates are being met
Be curious and creative with existing tools to ensure that we are always challenging the status quo, even if we have limited resources.
Spearhead the offense for not only execution on a day-to-day basis but also influencing the roadmap for continuous evolution of operational processes.
Act in a leadership role in developing benchmarks of process efficiency.
Drive consistency of the issue resolution process & hind sighting.
Deliver highly effective communications and presentations
This role requires a leader with strong, hands-on industry experience running and evolving operations or large scale digital programs on behalf of a multi-channel retailer.
Team Management
Lead 7 specialists that analyze, supervise & execute daily product (de)activations along the seasonal product lifecycle with input from cross-functional teams.
Responsible for setting the team individual and functional objectives.
Develop individuals by focusing on developing outstanding talent all while ensuring the process excellence that will deliver our future growth.
Stakeholder Management
Be the integration between all partners (Business team, Marketplace Ops, Merchandising, Analytics, etc.) in Seasonal Readiness & Product Activation space
Align with the broader team (ie. Nike App Ops, SNKRS Ops, DPP Ops) to implement cross-channel initiatives
Serve as an evangelist for the power of process design and optimization to key stakeholders and digital leadership, illustrating proven successes to open doors to future opportunities.
Be a voice on Platform & Digital Operations Management Teams representing the interests of operations with our internal and external partners.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This position that reports to the Digital Platform Ops Director. You will manage a team of seven specialists. You will partner with several teams (ie. Business team, Merchandising, Marketplace Operations, Analytics, etc.) to drive an operationally-centered mentality, as a mechanism for delivering premium digital experiences to Nikes consumer.
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum of 5 years professional experience; direct-to-consumer retail e-commerce with a specific focus on operational process improvement experience
Previous management experience is required
Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment
Proficient in English, strong presentation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to drive strategic vision & implementation within the organization & be a leader of change
Excellent organizational skills, passion for details and ability to produce on-time quality deliverables in a deadline-driven environment while balancing multiple priorities
Flexibility in working hours to support the business (ie. weekends, holidays)
Provides a team setting where a diverse set of backgrounds, skills and perspectives are brought together to achieve a common goal
A positive, energetic attitude with a passion for ecommerce, retail, sport, fashion
Track record working both independently and in a team environment to develop hypotheses and make recommendations, sometimes without all the facts, to a broad audience is required
Ability to quickly pick up new systems, experience with Nike internal tools is a plus
