STATUS:

The Product Development Import Export Manager will showcase your
creativity and leadership skills. This position combines a strong
understanding of overseas production, import, duties, and
transportation.You will be tasked with developing and implementing
new/updated policies and programs for the Development Team while
influencing performance and continued successes.

The Production Development Import Export Manager is responsible for
providing Leadership in the area of strategies, policies, and processes.
Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, at various stages of their development, with minimal
supervision and oversight. To ensure a productive environment you will
be evaluating, developing, planning, directing, training, and implementing
and updating development initiatives.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):

• Execution of product life cycle from order confirmation to shipment
create concise tech packs, manage the fit process, correct quality fabric,
washes and trim items, follow up with vendors on packaging, labeling,
testing and all approvals, etc.
• Communicate daily with manufacturers using WIP reports to ensure
products are developed within the desired timeline and ensure on-time
deliveries according to the T&A calendar.
• Manage team, assisting with new hire selection, train/cross train new
& existing employees, manage T/A calendars and product development
cycle
• Stay current in trends, completion and our customers
• Coordinate development of spec packages and hand-off to the
Sample Coordinator for initial prototypes and development through to
pre-production samples.
• Develop all BOM, spec sheets and other information for prototypes,
rep samples, production, and special makes.
• Proactively identifies problems that arise with orders and/or
customers, champions solutions, escalates as needed keeping lines of
communication open.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 yrs experience with production management. Manufacturing
experience is a plus preferable experience dealing with Wal-Mart, Kohl’s
or Target.
• Relocation to Chico, CA a must.
• Current Passport and ability to travel (Both Domestic and
International) required
• Experience working with fabrics, mills and manufacturers.
International development and production experience a must.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel. Experience with computer-aided
design tools a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction,
size/fit/grading, fabric/fiber,
construction, specification management, and product costing.

Primary Location US-CA-CHICO: Full-time Wage commensurate with
experience
