Responsible for collaborative conceptualization and stylistic implementation of design solutions that meet development timelines as well as style and brand positioning guidelines for the product.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Product Line Managers, Sales Managers, Brand Managers, and Product Development team to execute on the creative strategy for our product.
• Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and share insights with the company.
• Take an active role in concept sessions with team members from other departments.
• Manage graphic deliverables for projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
• Cultivate an understanding of the latest applied and material sciences.
• Support all aspects of design, production, and commercialization including packaging, hang tags, master cartons, and product merchandising including point of purchase display.
• Fluency in current graphic design practices and design/production software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, In Design and Keyshot or other comparable software.
• Assist when needed to design various types of layouts, illustrations, web design, advertisements according to the brand guidelines.
Specific Duties:
• Design graphics/artwork to be applied on all Slingshot Sports and Ride Engine products.
• Initiate, create and maintain product reference drawings and tech packs.
• Execute ‘on brand’ logo, wordmark, and design detail applications.
• Work with D&S product developers and vendors to manage timelines pertaining to graphic development of the products.
• Interface with Engineering regarding design concepts and their applications to product.
• Work closely with Product Line Managers, Brands Managers, Sales, and D&S team to develop and communicate the visual direction and final design for all products.
• Manage and direct designers and artists - both in house and contracted to execute on Product graphics, packaging, and collateral material.
• Utilize Market Research and Trend analysis to inform design decisions and product graphics.
