O’Neill European Headquarters in The Netherlands (located near Amsterdam) is looking to recruit a Product Manager for the Snow/ Beach Unit. At O’Neill’s European Headquarters, 180 employees are working together in the development, production, sales, marketing and distribution of the collections for the European market across 34 countries.

The Product Manager will develop styles according creative, technical, timing and margin requirements. He/ she will also be responsible for the realization of proto and sample orders with nominated vendors out off the supplier’s portfolio and the negotiation of all buying related values for sampling and planning of bulk production

Core duties
- Ensure realisation and execution within budget against the targeted prices, quality, going in margins and timelines
- Material sourcing/development for sampling collections
- Planning and monitoring of the development process for relevant product package according to unit time table
- Provide all information and purchasing orders for proto and bulk samples, and ensure on time and complete deliveries.
- Approval of all technical material requirements (fabric, trimmings), color lab dips, strike offs of prints and panels, washing effects, proto and bulk samples (quality and fitting approval supported by QA and pattern department)
- Negotiation/agreements in scope of margin targets of products and buying related issues e.g. FOB prices, lead-times, minimum orders using IT tools e.g. PDM and an accurate and actual administration
- Finalize all product and vendor related issues, on article and style level, and handover to production department according to unit time table
- Coach juniors and assistants and contribute to their career development.
- To source new vendors, to hand over to PUM for seasonal and annual planning, according the companies sourcing strategy and strategic objectives

Job requirements
- Bachelor degree or similar with a focus on textiles and garments
- At least 3-5 years experience in similar international position
- Technical / professional knowledge : product development skills and sourcing experience
- Multi cultural knowledge through extensive travelling
- Advanced user of MSOffice/ERP/SCM/PDM tools etc
- Excellent verbal and written language skills in English preferably additional languages
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Effective Communicator (verbal and written), articulated
- Team player but able to work individual at site (in- and external)
- Resource efficiency / multi tasking (structured: plan, execute and evaluate)
- Sense for detail
- Coaching & counselling
