In this position you will help build and execute on a product roadmap that is targeted at achieving sales and growth in the global market. The position will require a unique entrepreneurial talent for translating rider needs and creative thinking to deliver race winning road bikes.

How You'll Contribute:
Help set the direction for the road product category with consideration of rider needs
Conduct rider and market research to inform product briefs
Support the product developer with creating Bill of Materials for each bike model in the road category and help deliver to global assembly locations by set deadlines
Monitor developments in the marketplace: Specifically, bicycle products, related technologies, competition, customers and end-users.
Follow trends in color, graphics and lifestyle of similar product categories (e.g. winter sports, water sports and motorcycle).
Solicit data on existing and new products from current and potential component and finished goods suppliers.
Work with sales, marketing and warranty to gain information on customer needs and provide them technical training on products.
Write the periodic category- and/or customer-specific Product Plans.
Conceptual design and specification development of profitable products at required price points.
Present/demonstrate product lines at sales meetings, and dealer meetings.
Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure the integrity of the product.
Work with factories and component suppliers designing, requesting and evaluating new parts and frame designs.
Work with engineering and project management to ensure project goals and timelines are
Develop and proofread sales materials.
Write competitive analyses as necessary
Serves as a resource to Product Developer in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
Follow internal controls and company policies as set by Cannondale and job function.
Contribute to the success of Cannondale Road bikes by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:
High level of self-motivation to work for one of the leading road bike brands
Bachelors degree in marketing, engineering, or related field.
Passion for road riding, training, and racing
Must be able to ride road bikes with journalists, colleagues, and customers
Must be able to understand and prioritize the requirements and feedback of professional riders and teams
Ability to ride test and evaluate product during the development process
Minimum 6 years of experience in sporting goods or other bicycle retail environment.
Knowledge of marketing principles required.
Detailed knowledge of bicycle parts and assembly required.
Previous experience in bicycle industry required
Knowledge of computers required including knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work in an international team environment
Read and understand 2D drawings.
Ability to drive a company vehicle for transport of employees and equipment to off-site locations
