POSITION SUMMARY //
Volcom is looking for an InDesign and Photoshop Production artist. This position will be building pre-defined layouts of catalogs and touching up a large volume of images. This is not a graphic design position.
RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Assist in the pre-defined layout of print ready catalogs for each season using Adobe InDesign.
• Handle Photoshop post production of a large amount of files (retouching, color correction, product clipping, and product manipulation).
• Review and revise proofs of printed copy, art, and photo materials.
• Streamline the production process and continuously identify areas for improvement.
• Work directly with Senior Production Artists and Photo Asset Assistants.
• Work closely with Product Development, Sales, Design, and Art Departments to ensure all line books are correct, on time and of good quality.
• Create custom layouts or other graphic elements.
• Complete layouts and pre-press instructions to prepare materials for printing.
• Manage assets from multiple photo shoots and assist in organizing photos for multiple purposes.
• Occasionally assist in photo shoots ensuring product is photographed correctly and to correct standards.
• Post production/resizing of product imagery for e-commerce needs.
• Knowledge of EasyCatalog (InDesign Plug-In) a plus.
