Famous Stars & Straps, located in Ontario Calif. is looking for a Production Coordinator.
Summary:
Maintain the development, production, and quality of assigned styles by serving as the liaison between the Designer, Merchandiser, and Supplier.
The Product Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the product development calendar, execution of the product, and on-time delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties:
• Monitor and maintain the development communication with vendors each day, style by style
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials and Style Master Information
• Manage and monitor vendor communication for each style throughout the development & production cycle
• Manage and maintain the sample production cycle to secure on time sample delivery
• Ensure that all managed product is accurately ready for seasonal integration at the specified deadlines
• Responsible for analyzing and overseeing garment production at overseas factories to ensure production quality and on-time delivery for men’s apparel, underwear, and accessories.
• PO confirmation and tracking which includes in-house production orders and special orders/drop shipments
• Size scale management
• Maintaining or improving costs
• Interacts with designers to ensure that garment is producible at acceptable cost
• Ensure accuracy of in-house dates for Work In Process orders and closure of received production orders
• Review sales and maintain ATS or S/O levels
• Create and maintain a seasonal Time Action Calendar as well as Weekly Production Schedule per vendor
• Negotiate charge-backs and maintaining costs in the system
• Approve invoices from vendor
• Tracks all shipments coming to the USA & Overseas Distributors, approves bookings, maintains spreadsheets
• Work with logistics company to Classify shipments & work with the broker on filing entries to get shipments customs cleared
• Approves bookings with Overseas & Domestic vendors
• Be prepared for potential travel to work on seasonal development with vendors (international and domestic)
Experience/Job Skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• 2-3 years experience in a production department
• Full Circle experience in apparel production environment
