The Production Planner of Private Label will oversee the production capacity and schedule planning and order direction for all company owned operations. They will develop capacity plans for all facilities, create production schedules for domestic facilities, direct ordering guidelines, monitor production, assure raw materials are in line to support production and be the key liaison for all company owned facilities. Responsible for prioritizing production based upon delivery dates, available raw materials and available capacity to ensure highest quality product with on-time delivery.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Act as a liaison between our internal purchasing and planning teams and company owned garment factories to provide guidance in the issuance of purchase orders (i.e. MOQ’s, lead-times, capacity planning) and work closely with manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are within capacity and the demand requirements of the supply plan on time
• Act as a liaison between our factories and nominated raw materials suppliers to track and monitor orders to insure timely delivery of raw materials and provide assistance in the procurement process of them as needed.
• Use problem-solving skills to locate and correct any raw material or inventory issues
• Maintain targeted fabric inventory balances across factory and supplier warehouses
• Review and maintain 6 month rough cut capacity plans for all factories. Will create master production schedules for domestic factories and create general production schedules for off shore facilities to ensure vendors’ capacity will accommodate our needs.
• Maintains positive open lines of communication with management & staff, factories and factory liaisons to ensure information flow and efficient operations.
• Monitor WO creation to ensure orders are being written according to master schedule
• Identifies gaps in the inventory plan and production plan and present solutions within his/her scope to fill them. Facilitates vendor constraint resolution.
• Analyze bulk production lead-time, minimums and key seasonal programs to ensure factory owned facilities are meeting requirements.
• Monitor and provide evaluations of company owned factories delivery and quality performance against KPI goals each month/season/year and find ways to continuously improve performance.
• Work with manager to create & maintain efficient planning tools for capacity and production to support manufacturing in conjunction with forecasts.
• Highlight and report gaps (under/over) in capacity and coverage
• Field questions concerning production delivery, quality replacement and order status.
• Facilitate warehouse in resolving receiving issues due to inaccurate / missing purchase order information
