Timberland / SmartWool is looking for a Field Service Representative to handle the western US. This position is based out of the Seattle, WA. area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in conjunction with key accounts to educate and excite retail associates on the technical aspects of the product lines and how to best merchandise each line in order to create greater sell-through
Work in conjunction with Timberland and Smartwool Sales Group and Corporate partners to execute specific promotional activities at regional and national specialty events
Create and manage budgets necessary for clinic events, training tools, and other required expenses
Manage the ongoing educational needs of each brand's key retail partners to ensure strong sell-through
Conduct regular schedule of educational clinics with retail associate .
Schedule ongoing account visits to maintain brand awareness and measure market trends
Work with the retailer on the sales floor
Provide key market and product feedback to Account Executives and product teams.
Leverage brand properties with US Wholesale accounts and at sponsored events
Coordinate key industry partnerships including Ed Viesturs and Team Timberland
Utilize promotional activities in store and at events to develop sell through insights and ROI analysis
Understand and educate the Sales teams on industry landscape and provide insight on opportunities to further leverage outside partnerships and other relationships - to attain improved sell in and sell through
Identify, propose and execute incremental opportunities to gain / develop exposure for the product (partnerships, clinics, other as appropriate)
Identify and report competitive program and pricing information, product fit data, promotional information and other types of insights relative to allowing the brand to compete within the industry
Understand retail landscape of territory by developing in depth knowledge of the retailers and the channels which they are focused.

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent preferred
2-4 years of experience working in the Outdoor Specialty, athletic, or footwear industries
Experience may include retail, customer service, marketing or other grass roots efforts .
Successful candidates must have a passion for the outdoors and be an outdoor performance "user" in order to understand how the Consumer thinks and how to best develop sell through strategies and training programs
Successful individuals must have strong communication skills, be creative, high energy and have proven success in delivering presentations to any number of individuals
This person must not be afraid to step in and do the work alongside the retail associates and must also be disciplined with their schedule in a position which calls for significant independence
Strong computer skills required
Based in the North American West Coast region
Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time
