Marketing / Sales Analyst / Brand Manager

In California Inc which owns Airspeed Footwear, located in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an experienced MARKETING/BRAND MANAGER.

SALARY 40-45K starting (also can be negotiated based on experience, or whats skills you can initially bring to our company)

We are looking for an experienced marketing team member that will bring a new outlook and professionalism to our workplace and be able to travel for meetings with us.

YOU MUST BE EXTREMELY EFFECIENT IN EXCEL, OUTLOOK, WORD, AND HAVE MODERATE to ADVANCED COMPUTER SKILLS.

Our company sales forecast predicts large growth and a great future. Every core skate company had to start off small, and we are only in our 4th year with a lot of potential to expand.

DUTIES:
•Assist in creation of daily reports, distribution analysis, presentations

•Provide excellent customer service and maintain vendor relations

•Attend out-of state sales meetings and create new relationships with retail buyers

•Coordination of advertising and marketing plans

•Help create online promotions through company website and Myspace page

•Manage incoming and outgoing email communications and mail

•Responsible for all general office duties including filing, copying, faxing, etc

•Assist in production and footwear development – from color ways to new concept cad direction

•Responsible for implementing and executing forecasts for new items

•Organize and maintain design cad books for different retailers

•Creating excel spreadsheets with regional analysis and formulas

•Internet observation of ever changing skate market

•Working with Wal-Mart’s retail link system (if you have any experience in this please mention in subject field) THIS IS A HUGE PLUS FOR YOU!!
---ANY EXPERIENCE WITH WAL-MART BUYING TEAMS IS GREAT---

•Answer, screen, and route phone calls and voicemails

•Help organize and maintain our shoe sample storage facility

•Make independent recommendations and decisions on projects

•Create retail marketing solutions

•Track items by shipment, PO, in stores sales.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
•ACTION SPORTS INDUSTRY REQUIRED* Especially skateboarding

•Be able to read, analyze, and interpret common computer emails

•Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral skill required (be able to give presentations in front of small and large groups)

•Basic knowledge of photoshop and illustrator – the more you know the better.

•Need to have an excellent understanding and available to jump right into projects on excel, word, outlook, powerpoint, and basic Windows utilities (good with numbers is key)

•Sales or marketing experience is required

•Wanting to learn about the footwear industry from ground up

•Be able to lift 30 pounds no problem (boxes of samples)

•Must be outgoing, highly organized, and have a great attention to detail

•Able to multi-task in a sometimes fast paced environment under little supervision at times for upcoming projects and meetings.

•Be able to attend tradeshows in Las Vegas (WSA and MAGIC) and ASR in San Diego

•Some additional domestic travel may be required


EDUCATION:
*College BA or BS in related field preferred, but not a requirement
