Raleigh is looking for a Brand Activator to cover the Eastern U.S. You'll get to hit the road representing an amazing bike company! Bring your impeccable driving record, and passion for bikes and the Raleigh brand.
This position is responsible for activating the Raleigh Brand and targeted performance models to Raleigh dealers and event riders (MS150/Raleigh Events, cycle cross events, and utility commuters).
This position’s effectiveness will be measured by Raleigh bicycle adoption by key opinion leaders. Opinion leaders include key shop employees, event organizers/management, event riders, and dealer/owners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for equipping with brand product knowledge of Raleigh bicycles, Raleigh VS competitors, with ability to present to target audience of opinion leaders.
• Provide effective product knowledge clinics to both consumers and retail staff.
• Provide technical solutions and information on any bicycle related issue.
• Responsible for van, trailer and demo product assigned.
• Responsible for keeping demo bicycle fleet in excellent riding condition.
• Responsible for at-event presence, dealer visits, in-store/club Raleigh clinics.
• Responsible for developing database and remaining in contact with key opinion leaders via Facebook and email.
• Responsible for unified scheduling and coordination with Raleigh Marketing Coordinator, event coordinator, East/West Sales Directors, and Sales Operation Manager.
o Calendar schedule to be jointly developed with marketing and sales for a unified approach. For example, MS150, CycleCross and other events scheduled and fully integrated with sales regarding dealer visits, clinics, etc. between weekend events. Our investment is focused on the Local Dealer, and should always be viewed as to the effectiveness with the Local Dealer.
• Responsible for reporting monthly on impact with opinion leaders, and Local Dealers.
• Responsible for being knowledgeable of Raleigh warranty and customer service practices.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Minimum of 2 years specialty retail bike shop experience
• Prefer 2 or 4 year college degree
• High level of riding competence to be credible influence to opinion leaders, and Local Dealers.
• Mechanical competence to maintain fleet in excellent riding condition.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Develop abilities to provide brand product presentations in small and large groups
• Proficiency in utilizing the Internet for research Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word - word processing software. ( will be equipped with lap-top computer)
