We're looking for a Distribution Center Recruiting Specialist to support our high volume staffing at our Corona Facility! In this role you'll support interview scheduling, supporting interviews, hiring events, and all aspects of recruiting and interviewing. This is a fast pace and exciting opportunity where you'll focus on continually improving the candidate experience and attracting top tier candidates for our distribution center roles.
Responsibilities:
• Recruit, source, and screen candidates on openings and select candidates for further consideration
• Support supervisors in interview guides and successful interview questions and techniques
• Acts as an advisor for DC leadership on hiring processes and best practices.
• Organize hiring tasks, participate in team presentations, info sessions and engage with stakeholders to raise awareness on hiring trends, recruiting successes and opportunities
• Implement innovative recruiting programs to identify, attract, and hire high-quality, diverse talent for the DC
• Communicate on Zumiez’ culture, policies, procedures, safety standards and other key information to candidates throughout the recruitment process
• Track, monitor and report on sources and websites that will best meet our hiring needs for the future, and evaluate existing relationships for efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and monitor key metrics and costs related to the recruiting/retention function
• Accurately create offer letters for 20-50 people per week
• Plan, schedule and run weekly hiring events (in person and virtual)
• Accurately manage projects on a monthly basis within deadlines
• Document changes in recruiting process to maintain accurate steps and train others to be a backup support to all recruiting steps
• Regularly support HR Business Partner and Coordinator in work as assigned
• May be asked to track and report on COVID-19 exposure or support communication of close contacts

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, business or related field preferred
• 1+ years of HR work experience
• Interest in PHR/SHRM preferred
• Career oriented in nature and strong desire to work at Zumiez
• Experience with project management is a plus
Qualifications & Experience:
• 1+ years of demonstrated ability in recruiting
• General knowledge of California employment law
• High sense of urgency, ability to multi-task and strong organization skills
• Ability to think critically and solve problems Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to write compelling and grammatically correct materials and present them on a regular basis
• Proficient in Excel
• Must have friendly communication and strong interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in technology as shown by continuous learning throughout your career
• High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Ability to sit at a work station in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations.
• Ability to move about, sit, bend, and squat in an office environment in order to access files and gather information.
• Must be able to reliably come on site in person into the facility Monday to Friday during business hours
• Vaccinated against COVID-19 a plus
