We are looking for a result-driven Retail Store Manager to be responsible for overall store management at our Huntington Beach, CA location. A successful store manager will be able to meet sales and profitability goals, enhance customer satisfaction and manage staff effectively. The right candidate should have a background in financial planning, employee recruitment, and retail management. Experience working with similar products and active within the surf or swim communities, to best connect with our audience, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff
- Develop business strategies to acquire new customers, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Lead our retail team with top-tier customer service, friendly but effective sales techniques and smooth operational skills.
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Generate new and engaging ideas for in-store events to serve the local community and create energetic environments for special shopping opportunities
- Prepare reports on inventory, buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share and execute marketing efforts and sales promotion activities
- Maintain inventory and cash controls in compliance with Company policies
- Complete monthly cycle counts
- Manage all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.)
- Additional store manager duties as needed
